“ Vegetarians Paradise!!! We went to Green Elephant restaurant today based on my son's recommendation and the fact that all members of the family are vegetarians. This is a paradise if you are a vegetarian!!! The dishes here are thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We started with Nightshade and Pomegranate Mojito for non alcoholic drinks, followed by Brussel Sprouts and Roti Chanai for appetizers, and Panang Curry and Singapore Noodles for main dish!! Even meat eaters will find the flavors satisfying and crave worthy because the flavors, atmosphere and friendly staff plus the location makes you feel good. Lovely place and will visit again!!! ”

“ I can’t say enough about this place. Top notch food, service, atmosphere. The Green Elephant is a beautifully designed, plant-filled (literally and figuratively) restaurant serving quality vegetarian cuisine. It’s filled with warm wood tones making it an inviting place to have a relaxing dinner or happy hour. I was in town for the IFPA Women’s World Pinball Championships and this place was legit around the corner from my hotel. Their menu looked fantastic despite being a carnivore, sometimes I like to switch it up. It was worth the switch for two different occasions. My first trek I snuck in for some happy hour snacks and a beverage. The gyoza was sooo good. So good. And for 5 during happy hour? Shut. Up. Had I known they’d be that good, I would’ve had two orders. They come with a dipping sauce which was flavorful yet mild alongside a spicy thicker sauce for some contingent dipping based off your spice tolerance. My second dish I tried was a curry pastry of sorts. Cannot recall then name but it was a 2 piece set up that had a cucumber dipping sauce. While I was expecting more of a raita cucumber sauce, what came out wasn’t that but it still worked well with the dish. After another night I was craving the green curry I saw on the menu but didn’t have time for prior. It’s a massive portion — easily could have been 2-3 meals for me (I’m a grazer so smaller plates are more my speed). Divine. Coconut based and I got the minimum spice which was enough but I could’ve went to level 2 I think but that’d be my max personally. Would definitely come back if I was in town again. And if you’ve not been or doubt that vegetarian cuisine can be as satisfying as a meat-based dish, challenge yourself. You’ll enjoy it here, I promise. ”

“ I can’t recommend Green Elephant enough! The food here is unbelievable – by far the best vegan cuisine I’ve ever had. Every dish was a delightful explosion of flavors, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Brussel Sprouts: The Brussel Sprouts were slightly overfried, but they were still incredibly tasty. The caramelization added a lovely crunch, and the seasoning was perfect. It was a dish I didn’t expect to love so much, but it turned out to be quite addictive. Green Curry with Tofu: This dish was a masterpiece! The Green Curry was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The tofu soaked up the curry beautifully, making every bite a treat. Honestly, this is one of those dishes that will stay in my memory for a long time – absolutely heavenly. Singapore Noodles: The Singapore Noodles were a standout for me. The crispy vermicelli added an amazing texture, and the flavors were out of this world. The subtle hint of spice and the balance of sweet and savory were executed flawlessly. A must-try for anyone visiting! Ambience: The ambience was so damn pleasing – warm, cozy, and beautifully lit. It felt like the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy an amazing meal. The decor was elegant, and the vibe was calming. Service: The service was unbelievable! Even though we arrived close to closing time, they graciously accommodated our order 15 minutes before they were about to shut. The staff was courteous, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. Green Elephant is an absolute gem for vegan food lovers. Every dish is crafted with care, the ambience is top-notch, and the service goes above and beyond. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! ”

“ Food is great, big portions. Delicious mix of India and Asian food. Soy meat tastes just like meat. Highly recommend the Thai ginger noodles and the spicy vegetable medley stir fry. The spicy soy sticks and the fried banana coconut ice cream as appetizer and dessert respectively were bomb as well. ”

“ This is my favorite place to eat in Portsmouth. Every single thing I’ve ever eaten here has been a 10/10. I’m not even a vegetarian and my partner eats more meat than anyone I’ve ever met and we both absolutely love the food. Not only is everything made to perfection but it’s so obvious that all the food is fresh and high quality. I would sell my literal soul for the Goji Berry Soup to be a permanent menu item. That soup is hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life! But the Pineapple fried rice and the Thai ginger noodles are amazing as well.
